　DaGang Ocean Petrochemical Science and Technology Garden is located on the shore of BoHai Gulf、 HuaBei plain .it is flat with simple landforms . 　Petrochemical resources are rich in DaGang district。It has BoHai and DaGang oil fields with annual production of 12 million tons .It has an annual l7.5 million tons of oil refining 、0.2 million tons of ethylene and 0.16 million tons of polythene、It can produce 60-thousand-ton polypropylene、33- thousandton rthane、63- thousand- ton glycol、0.3 -mil-lion- ton opposite benzene twain acid、0.14- million- ton pure benzene and 0.3- million -ton polyester. Abundance of natural gases from DaGang oil field and Shanxi are enough to use.Electricity from HuaBei electricity net and DaGang power plant can reach every part of Dagang.

　
　 A modern petrochemical city-Tian Jin Da Gang ，the BinHai new area is being built on the west of expansion pacific, the beautiful side of BoHai gulf。
　Approved by the State department， the young Da Gang district was built in 1979. It covers an area of 1113.83 square kilometers and has a population of 0.4 million . It is a new city with oil & petrochemical industry and multi-trade. There are a lot of large national enterprises that include DaGang Oil Group Co. Ltd, TianJin Petrochemical Company, China Petrochemical Fourth Construction Company, TianJin Da Gang Power Plant and TianJin United Chemical Co. Ltd.

　Dagang is rich in petroleum, natural gas, crude salt, and top quality geothermal water. The annual production of crude oil and natural gas is 6 million tons,and 650 million cubic square meters respectively. The annual production of cude salt is 2.2 million tons, a quarter of the total production of sea salt in the country. The verified area of geothermal energy in Dagang covers 70 square kilometers. The water temperature in the geothemal well is 70-90 C ° .
　The potentiality of exploration is great. Dagang has 70 square kilometers of continuous state-owned uncultivated land and mud flat area which are flat and even with the low cost of exploitation.
